Coming to a town near you

From Facebook: a picture taken on a Charlottesville street last Saturday.

These are not the cops or the military, these are the invaders.

Oh, man. There’s some serious over-compensating going on there.

Seriously, if that isn’t the very definition of a terror group then there are no terror groups.

And I’ve just spotted….fifth face from the right, wearing black cap and stood by the wall to the left of blue bandana-man; Michael Jackson! Returned to reclaim the Jackson name for (relative) good.

They look like a contemporary CSA complete with rag-tag butternut uniforms.

Incipient paramilitary death squad. Look how many are carrying rifles and sidearms. One gun isn’t enough, apparently.

Be interesting to know if any of those weapons/kit are unaccounted for US Military items.

Tactical earmuffs on, trigger fingers lying alongside the guard as if they were in an active combat zone. Deaths head insignia (someone show them Mitchell & Webb)…

In my country this display would be breaking more laws than I can immediately count. Frankly I’m happy with our society by comparison, imperfect though it is.

Can you IMAGINE if BLM protestors came dressed like that?

Why the ever loving fuck are they wearing that camouflage?

Do they not understand what camo is for?

But, but… Chigau, it looks all cool and militaristic and tough, just like real soldiers right now are all wearing.

Yeah, in the dessert I know…

The thing is, these guys are all at that deeply concerning junction of the pathetically absurd with the deadly dangerous. I’d rather deal with professional assassins or vipers. At least those would both operate in a predictable and rational manner.

And every one of them is inwardly whining about how downtrodden and opwessed he is.

    Here’s the British perspective:

“HOW THE HELL IS THIS LEGAL?????”

OK, I know that our society is very different but even so, this stuff is terrifying. The surprising part is that there was only one murder not 20.

That’s my perspective too, despite being USian. It staggers me that that’s legal.

It’s legal in some states, but that doesn’t mean it’s normal. I’ve never seen anything like it, and hope I never will.

There was an interesting article on Lawfare this week arguing that what you see in the photo above is illegal in most states, including Virginia. Most states have laws giving them the legal power to stop this. The question is why don’t they?

I believe they’re using the zebra technique*; create a confusing jumble making individual members of the herd hard to isolate.

Trouble is, as anybody who’s ever watched a nature documentary can confirm, it’s not particularly effective; there’s always a sequence of lions nomming on a juicy zebra joint.

*Well, either that, or they’re simply as thick as pig-shit.
