Every other president we have had could have mustered up at least a pretense of giving a damn. Dubya…Reagan…Nixon…all of them would have gone, and behaved appropriately.

Was just listening to the clips in your previous post, and the narrator pointed out that we’re all a lot better without him there. You know he’d do something crass and disgusting, better he stay away.
True, but I despise the way he said it, and him for being someone who would say it that way.
Simplest explanation: he won’t go because it’s not all about him. Devise a way to make it all about him, and he will be there, accepting acclaim. No, wrong word. Wallowing in it.
