“These views”

Maybe it’s nature’s desperate last gasp effort to get us to stop destroying the planet – convince enough of us that we don’t know the difference between female and male and surely the birth rate will plummet.

….convince enough of us that we don’t know the difference between female and male and surely the birth rate will plummet.

Sexual dimorphism can be subtle in some species, but never so subtle as to make the telling of male from female an impossibility for members of that species. I venture to say that species whose members lacked that ability went the way of the dodo, and at best were just ideas in no particular mind which never amounted to anything more.

Clearly, neither God, nor Allah, Zarathustra, Zeus or any other divinity had any time for them.

Of course, Omar, there are the species that are both male and female. That might make it easier.

How could they possibly go wrong? Total avoidance of embarassment.

Even fantasy dwarves manage to procreate, even if (in Pratchett’s work, at least) courtship can be a very fraught and confusing process.

On Radio 4, it was “her approach” all day. Which was just weird. And had me shouting “her approach TO WHAT!?” every hour.

    There’s also “Who’s she, the cat’s mother?”
