The overall goal, of course, being permanent Republican control of all three branches of government.
Of course, but also the disenfranchisement of the underclass.
So the GOP is effectively returning the U.S. to the colonialist roots that supposedly inspired the American Revolution?
That’s invariably the problem with revolution, it revolves.

Depending on the voting coalitions I’m not really sure how this’ll shake out. A significant portion of Trump’s voter base could be significantly affected by these sorts of laws whereas it’s less clear what the interests of suburbanites will be.
