School prepares for backlash over high school teacher who claims to be trans. I think the teacher is just taking the mickey.
The Halton District School Board is “standing behind” an “accepted” transgender teacher who has gone viral in social media video posts.
In addition, HDSB Chair Margo Shuttleworth tells the Toronto Sun that staff are looking at “going through creating a safety plan” to ensure the Oakville Trafalgar High School teacher’s security as they prepare for potential protests when the school opens for classes Monday.
Gone viral why? Potential protests why?
Trans? Or mockery? It looks more like mockery to me. Anyway I wouldn’t want to be in a high school class taught by that teacher.

Shocking media first began to circulate on Twitter earlier this week, with multiple accounts sharing a mobile phone video and stills of a shop teacher demonstrating how to use a circular saw.
The teacher is seen wearing an extremely prominent prosthetic bust, one which clearly outlines the nipples through his tight shirt. He is also donning a bright blonde wig and short-shorts.
Totally appropriate for high school, right?

Pre-transitioning the teacher was known to students and faculty as a male and went by a man’s name. But the teacher now identifies as a woman and is referenced with a female name.
The school board says it sees her simply as a good teacher.
“This teacher (who teaches shop) is an extremely effective teacher,” said Shuttleworth. “All the kids really love being in the class.”
I don’t believe either of those claims.
This is either an epic troll, or this individual is practically the embodied Platonic Form of AGP, right?
Uhhh…you shouldn’t operate power tools in a get-up like that. Hair should be tied back. Necklace removed. The prosthetic breasts are a serious safety hazard. They impair balance, mobility, motion, and sight lines. A circular saw can take a hand off in a flash.
No competent shop teacher would do something like this. I really do hope this is a troll.

Has “Bring your fetish to work day” rolled around again already? I hadn’t had it marked on my calendar. Is the Home Ec. teacher going to be sporting a huge prosthetic penis? Maybe the two of them could get together, comingle their fake parts, and have a tiny little baby sex doll together.
While we’re at, it, why not extend the offensive mockery ? Why limit it to sexualized, sexist stereotypes? Why not piss off everyone else too? Perhaps other staff could come in blackface, or wear “Indian war bonnets”? The more the merrier. Or would that be too much? Then why aren’t huge fake tits considered offensive too?
What does the teacher’s union have to say about this? I’m sure they would frown upon overtly racist displays. Are they okay with this overtly sexualized denigration of women? Would they be okay with a big prosthetic boner being worn by one of their, um, members? Or are they okay with such displays of “gender expression”? Have they dropped any reference to “sexism” and replaced it with “gender identity?”
Even if this is a trolling effort designed to mock genderism, he shouldn’t be doing this in front of students. It’s not fair to them to be subjected to this sort of display, whatever its motivation. It is disrespectful and degrading, particularly to any girls in the class. He has failed in his duty of care towards the minors in his charge, putting his own agenda ahead of their safety and dignity. If it’s not mockery, then this teacher is one sick bastard and should definitely be kept away from students. For good.
Excellent points regarding hair, jewellery, etc. He’s modelling terrible safety awareness whatever his intent, and should be removed from the classroom at once.
I also noticed that he reached across, under the blade, to pick up the right-hand piece of wood with his left hand. In so many ways this did not look like the actions of a competent woodworker or shop teacher.
Teenage boys would be completely distracted by the enormous prosthetic embonpoint.
Perhaps I’m dim, but I can’t see how wearing a pair of imitation tits differs from any other form of cosplay. How would Halton District School Board react to someone who blacked up, or went naked apart from a penis gourd, or whatever, and who claimed that this was part of their identity?
