A good morning

The People’s History Museum stood up for the people known as “women”!

Then some anti-feminist goons tried to rain on the parade but they failed.

This is a huge turnaround – the People’s History Museum declined to take feminist materials, and the GM police have let women down in the past. And Manchester’s ‘gay village’ was (is) full of aggressively anti-feminist signs. Really surprised to see this about-face.

I know, I remember posting about the People’s History Museum doing the wrong thing quite recently. It sticks in my mind (which 99% of everything doesn’t) because I’ve been to that museum and liked it a lot. I’m very chuffed that the voices of sanity prevailed this time.

I can’t discern a single thing the bullies are shouting in that video. The women seem to be enjoying themselves, though.

I think on reflection I’m a little less thrilled by Manchester police’s activities (though I guess the women involved were satisfied enough, we’ve come to accept low standards) – the police should have started arresting the leaders of the group that were following the women down the street shouting threats at them. This should not be acceptable legal public behaviour.

Or if not arresting them at least making them keep much farther back. I just snapped at some goon on Twitter who shared one of the clips of Helen and Maya with the mob just behind them & said there was no intimidation. Like HELL there was no intimidation.
