It’s a particularly creepy brand of self-flattery, that – declaring that it’s a “really complex conundrum” when women defend their rights, and that it takes kindness and civility – like his, of course – to find “a solution.” Behold, I, a man of kindness and civility, declare women’s rights too complex to figure out unless I, a man of kindness and civility, step in to say how complex it all is, kindly and civilly.

I think the truth is a kindness, honestly, and continuing to appease to men (and women) who want us all to relax our focus so that we can’t see them except as “passing” is cruel in the long run.
Who the fuck are you, and who cares about your opinion? Besides that, where the hell have you been? No internet under that rock? You must be joking. There has been no debate because one side keeps yelling “NO DEBATE!” One side doesn’t want any careful examination of this supposed “conundrum,” kind, civil, or otherwise. That side just wants what it wants, and won’t take less (let alone “no”) as an answer. The sowing of confusion you’ve mistaken for “complexity” is the only tactic it has; debate that clarifies and focuses discussion on what is actually at stake and what is actually being demanded is a nonstarter for that side. It can only advance its cause in secret and under cover of deceptive, manipulative language. In honest, open debate, it doesn’t stand a chance. Here’s a hint. The side engaged in this bullshit is not the one defending women’s rights. Any “solution” that requires women to give up ANY of their hard won, sex-based rights is an unjust, evil attack on the health, safety and dignity of women. If you can’t see that, if you hesitate, waffle, or equivocate when asked “What is a woman?” then you are not an honest broker or acting in good faith. Feel free to fuck off and keep your useless pontification to yourself.
