An exwemist pothition

How it started

How it went on

It’s “extremist” to say that men are men.

Here’s the thing. Reality is what it is. Fiddling with the names doesn’t change the reality except in cases where the naming really is subject to change. There are plenty of social names that can indeed be changed, but it doesn’t follow and it’s not the case that therefore men can be women. Male and female are not purely social categories.

I’m confused. The Workers Party of Britain seems to be saying that trans “women” are men, but Craig Murray is calling that an extremist view. As I wasn’t aware of his existence I looked him up, and found that he is a member of the Workers Party of Britain. Is he arguing with his party, or does it mean something else?

Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, I had an MRI this afternoon to investigate persistent back pain. When they put me in the machine I found it less noisy than I expected, and it stopped sooner than I expected. The two women technicians told me that there was a problem and that I should wait until they were ready to try again. When the time arrived I asked them what the problem had been. It appeared that they had had my name wrong, and also my sex. I said that I had never changed my name or my sex, and they laughed. However, this is France, and if it had been in Scotland I might have found myself accused of extreme hatred.
