A picture to say

Hmm. Tim Roberts isn’t such a good poster boy for freedom of Twitter after all.

Near the top of his Twitter timeline right now:

Oh – for the obsessed fans out there – a picture to say – I’m sorry

But remember – in the UK, “cunt” is in no way a misogynist epithet.

How charming. He certainly believes in burning his bridges before he crosses them.

Pogsurf, what makes you think Ophelia found the photo funny? I suppose you think gamer gate is all about ethics in gaming journalism and the slympit is just a rough and tumble skeptics discussion forum.

Who the hell is Tim Roberts? You know, other than a loser on Twitter.

Glad to see Pogsurf disappeared. That comment was not conducive to conversations. I’m all for free speech, but…shutting down conversations is not free speech.

    Pogsurf has history.

Eesh. That thread is an icky trip back into the past.

Also, it’s interesting that several of the people on it now think I’m pretty much as bad as pogsurf. (To be specific: Improbable Joe, oolon, hyperdeath, Xanthë, and Sally Strange.)

You can’t tell the players without a program.

I’m watching a French police-procedural with subtitles. And almost every time words like ‘fool’ or ‘idiot’ appear in the text, the word ‘con’ is coming out of the actor’s mouth. Its tossed around without any apparent gender assignment at all. Which doesn’t make it any less cringe worthy once you’ve thought about it.
