It made me laugh a lot, too, but then so do most of Author’s strips.
The genius of this strip, apart from the obliviousness of the boys echoing reality, is in letting us imagine what Barmaid had said. I imagined a lot of expletives, and despite being a grandad I’m still not grown up enough yet not to be amused by some well-phrased expletives!
