Despite hard work, results & a strong reputation I’ve been sacked today from @theSNP front bench. My constituents & fellow party members who gave me a resounding mandate in recent NEC elections should rest assured that I will continue to work hard for them.
I’m on totally opposite sides from Cherry, who can be a nasty piece of work, but she is clever, competent and energetic. Scottish nationalist politicians aren’t mostly much cop. I really do hope these ructions will give the SNP a kicking at the next election, but probably not. Many voters see Sturgeon as their saviour.
This is an article on the background. Sturgeon is on the side of the young wokies, and I would guess this would piss off the older SNP members who have served their time in the party when it wasn’t riding so high at present. Also, the young wokies, as in Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour party, aren’t known for doing the graft, envelope stuffing and door knocking of party politics. They prefer to check people’s pronouns on social media.
