The embarrassment of being an American right now is intolerable. Intolerable.
Sometimes I leave out the misogynist racist xenophobic etc part in order to highlight the actually criminal stuff. Or just in order to keep the sentence reasonably short.
Josh, there are many of us beyond your borders still aware there are some very good people within them. And don’t figure you’re any more to blame for this horror than someone who catches Ebola is for that.

I mean that. Figure there may have been excuses, once. Maybe before he went full asshole in such plain view. They’re wearing pretty thin, now. Hey uneducated white guys and anyone else still backing this guy, all the baiting and threatening and lies notwithstanding? This isn’t just stupid. It’s vile. And will be remembered, I think, for a very long time.
As to his calling anyone else fucked up, it’s something of milestone, I guess…
In that I usually wish self awareness on such people. In his case, I’m not sure I could be quite that merciless.
Josh, I think it was somewhere in twitspace that I saw this about traveling while American: “Forty percent is learning about and enjoying other cultures. Sixty percent is sharing boggled discussions about Trump.”
(I paraphrase, probably badly.)
We recently had some American visitors at a group I run. They became very embarrassed when Trump came up in conversation. I pity any American tourists anywhere if he gets in. Unless they voted for him, of course.
Yeah but at least he didn’t mention a basket.
