Aaron Rupar at Vox covered Trump’s Cincinnati rally at Vox but before I get to that I want to say something about the photo above his piece.

It’s shamingly easy to find pictures like that of Trump, and impossible to find any where he looks like a reasonable sensible grown-up human. The hair alone rules that out, and the hair isn’t all. But the thing is…you don’t see pictures like that of other political figures talking. Even Mitch McConnell, even Lindsey Graham – you don’t see photos of them rolling their eyes and screeching like lunatics. Trump? They’re everywhere. He looks unhinged…and that’s because he is.
Photos can be very misleading, but in Trump’s case they convey a hideous truth.
It’s especially striking because with Obama, all the pictures look like movie stills from a Hollywood drama about the first black US president. And even in the ones that look like behind-the-scenes footage he looks great, because he’s creased up laughing at pope baby or letting a small child sit at his oval office desk.
I know. Tough act to follow. But even, say, Bush 2 – you could see pics of him looking vacant, but nothing like this one.

Ugh, thanks for the reminder. President Trump and PM Johnson. I don’t know what’s worse, not being able to help looking like a lunatic because you are one, or deliberately looking like a pillock to distract and confuse people so they don’t notice when you’re being one.
