It’s obvious that they don’t think the treatment they’ve received is “special”; instead, *they’re* “special” in that they, unlike those stupid poors, haven’t wasted the perfectly normal opportunities that life has given them. How dare we not all take a lesson?
Maybe she means just that her father hasn’t given them anything he hasn’t given others. So maybe there are lots of Trump administration officials that have received special treatment on security clearances. Because clearly they don’t need to compare themselves to lesser beings who aren’t rich enough or photogenic enough or stupid enough to become part of the Trump administration.
It’s not special treatment if you’ve earned it, right? I assume that’s how she works it out.
They don’t think the treatment is special because they (especially Trump himself) assume that everyone is as crooked/corrupt/greedy as they are. That’s why Trump always calls “witch hunt” – not because he did not commit those crimes, but because he assumes that everyone else does as well, but only he is singled out.
Maybe the princess misunderstood the question. As she’s spent her entire life getting what she wants from daddy on demand, it wasn’t anything special when she asked daddy to give her husband clearance and daddy delivered.
No special treatment, just family life as it’s always been.
