The way the throne is cropped in the original makes it look like one of those inexplicably uncomfortable chairs you have to sit in to work in hotel rooms while you’re at conferences, all the time being forced to stare into the giant mirror that’s always above the desk.
That Bosch knew what he was talking about, and no mistake.
