Well, I hope Author is braced for the brickbats that are sure to follow. Perhaps what’s-his-name will start “requesting” that everyone unfollow JandMo on Twitter.
So 21 comments in at J&M with 17 unique contributors. I make it 7 in favour of the cartoon, 5 against and making some sort of (frankly facile and disingenuous arguments), 3 who have flounced from the site completely and 2 that I just don’t understand.
It was a close run thing, but I decided the funniest flounce was this one

Good god, I wonder who wrote that pompous book-length comment explaining everything from the beginning as if no one else knew anything. It sounds like the “Samuel Johnson” aka Steersman who was sock puppeting here.
Confirmed. I should have read them all first. Another book length comment, with a FOOTNOTE. Steersman is the only asshole I know pompous enough to use FOOTNOTES in blog comments.
