It’s worth noting (because I haven’t seen it noted anywhere else yet, although I’m sure it must be) that the new hate crime law in Scotland came into force on 23rd April. Marion was charged on 28th. You don’t have to be very conspiracy-minded to think that looks a lot like someone looking for a test case.
If you look at Marion’s timeline for that time period, there’s a small handful of tweets, none particularly offensive, let alone passing any reasonable threshold for criminality. Since Marion was originally told that the ‘offending’ tweet was homophobic and transphobic, it’s possible that it is one:

which is neither, of course, but it’s the least stretch of any.
We don’t actually know if even Marion has been told which tweet was the culprit. This sounds unbelievable, but there’s some talk about this happening at least a few times recently in Scotland; people not able to make a case to defend themselves because they have not been given full details of the offence they’re accused of. I don’t know how true any of that is.
Graham suggests that a picture of a Suffragette ribbon (see the link) is supposed to be a noose. As insane as that sounds, the explanation includes the awful David Paisley, about whom I think we’ve spoken before. It has the ring of him about it.

A suffragette ribbon…while TRAs tweet out pictures of guns and gallows and guillotines. All to be used on TERFs. Not to mention barbed wire covered baseball bats.
