Now say “women”
NOW is fully captured, just like the ACLU and Planned Parenthood and the National Women’s Law Center. Nothing for women any more, always people. Women don’t matter any more; nobody campaigns or proselytizes for women any more; women are so much chaff.
They systematically avoid the word, even though it’s IN their NAME. The W in NOW stands for Women, but NOW has become ashamed to use the word.
“…women and pregant people…” As if they are different things… jfc

Well, all pregnant people are women, but as far as I know not all women are pregnant. So in theory “women and pregnant people” could mean “women, both nonpregnant and pregnant”. But it would still be a stupid way of saying it.

If you’re actually trying to say something, which is what NOW should be doing, the way to say it would be “women, especially pregnant women.” Saying “women and pregnant people” implies that men can get pregnant. It’s systematic deliberate obfuscation and lying. It turns feminism into a mockery.
Maybe they need to change their name to National Organization for People (NOP).
