I’ve been told by TRAs online that it’s unfortunate that older generations with our “backwards” and “regressive” ideas aren’t dying faster. Apparently that extended to me also. I’m 44.
It’s a death cult, isn’t it? Arcadia, they must know that the vast majority of people of all ages aren’t on board with their counter-factual beliefs. It suits them to believe that it’s only their parents’, grandparents’, and great-grandparents’ generations which are refusing to indulge them; whereas if they were only to look outside the clique for a second, they’d realise that people their age are saying whatever is necessary to avoid conflict, and kids think that they’re ridiculous.
I don’t know if it’s due to their limited imagination, or deliberate propaganda attempts to stir up hatred towards women and the LGB alliance, but the idea that they are hated is truly a misreading of their opposition. Very few people hate “trans” people at all. There is an exception for those who have threatened violence, of course, or committed it against those they spew their vitriol at. But by and large, we don’t hate them for believing they are trans. It’s their actions, and the ideology behind them, that disgust us.
But, of course, in order to justify their signs and chants, they have to either believe that we hate them or they simply repeat the lie until it becomes “true” in the minds of the observers. In the same way Americans supported the “pre-emptive” wars in Iraq and Aghanistan following terrorist acts committed by Saudis, progressives now can feel justified in raining down hate on people for not adoring the trans nor their allies.
Indeed. These extremist trans activists are almost Maoist in their contempt for anything middle-aged or old.
They’ve certainly made any sort of dialog impossible.
They have in fact created a certain amount of fear or caution about themselves in people who wouldn’t otherwise have felt that way. The cumulative effect of years of threats and tantrums and screaming and threats threats threats isn’t the best way to persuade “cis” people to embrace them.

But, along with so much else they’ve actually redefined hate, lowering the bar so much that simple disagreement is an act of murderous bigotry that “denies their existence.” No to trans demands = TRANS GENOCIDE.
