A man who dressed as a woman

But

A man who dressed as a woman to sexually assault another man has been found guilty by a jury.

Wayne Rogers, 47, wore a wig and fake breasts when he targeted a 20-year-old who had been out drinking in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, in September.

But how do they know he’s not trans? Or non-binary? How do they know the wig and breasts were not sincere womaning by a sincere trans woman living her best life?

“He is a sexual predator that picks on drunk men and deceives them by being dressed as a woman,” prosecutor Mark Trafford KC said.

How can they know he’s not a trans woman? Maybe he’s too bashful to say he’s a trans woman, but that doesn’t make him any less a trans woman, or any less a woman. People who dress as women are women.

Rogers was arrested on 4 November. Police found two blonde wigs and a pair of fake breasts under the defendant’s bed.

So? Since when are women not allowed to wear wigs or falsies?

Are the police terfs now?

If the president can declassify documents in his mind without telling anyone, surely a man can be a woman in his her mind without telling anyone.

    Give a girl a break!

Hard to imagine, but he may well not want to pretend to be a ‘real’ woman. Call Stonewall, and they can explain the advantages.

Wasn’t one of the latest rounds of “JK Rowling is a transphobe” over her depiction in a non-Harry Potter book of a character (never described or referred to as trans) who did pretty much this?

Perhaps he’s a man because he assaulted a man.

If he’d assaulted a woman, then the lede would have been “woman assaults woman”, with a grudging admission in para 6 or 7 that the assailant is a “trans-woman”.

In the webcomic Skinhorse (running from 2008 to 2022) a major male character likes wearing feminine clothing. At no point does he claim to be a woman and his sexuality is bi leaning hetero.

I keep thinking, why don’t “transwomen” just do that. I.e.: do feminine things if they want without making silly claims of being “actually” women.
