YWCA Canada changes the subject
Feminism that pretends men are women if they say they are is not feminism at all. It’s not feminism and it’s nothing to do with feminism. Feminism is a rejection of the age-old belief that women are inferior to men. What’s that got to do with pretending men can be women? Not one damn thing.
However loudly and often they say it it remains a lie. Trans women are men who say they are women, but saying so doesn’t make it true. Men who say they are women are irrelevant to a feminist future. They’re also, for now, a hindrance to any feminist future.
Ya know, with the traditional religions, I’m able to adopt their perspective and make a coherent argument for it. Now, I can sort of do the same with Genderism, but the difference is this: at least when arguing for Christianity, I don’t feel like a damn idiot speaking gobbledygook backwards.
How is it possible to say what they say without curling into a ball of embarrassment and shame?
I bet pointing out this lie is considered “transphobic hate and bigotry.” This will not age well, as reality will be around for even longer than all of the TERFs speaking its plain, simple truths. Men are not women. Men cannot become women. Humans cannot change sex. These facts will never go away. Opposing reality takes a lot of effort, because it’s always there. You might as well try to paint the sky a different colour. How useful or trustworthy are those who declare you’ve succeeded? As has been pointed out elsewhere on B&W, the true transphobes, the ones who are truly afraid, are the ones who bow down and knuckle under to the lies and bullying, the ones who repeat the lies. They might be assets in the short term, but you’ll never convince everyone, and as long as you insist that the sky is indeed the colour you declare it to be, despite its evident blueness, anyone with eyes to see will know that you and your “allies” are talking bullshit and should not be trusted.
Another instance of the general rule that any group or organization that agrees to and promotes trans ideology turns to shit. I can see how trans activists benefit from this sort of declaration; the more people who spout their dogma, the more powerful and influential they appear to be. I know I’ve asked this before, as have many others here, but what does the YMCA (or any other entity who espouses and amplifies this delusional cant) get in return, apart from reputational damage? What do they think they’re achieving through this willful offering up of their credibility to this debilitating, parasitic attack? Political parties. Government departments. Major corporations. Charities. Police forces. It’s like an institutional version of rapid onset gender dysphoria. All have succumbed to a social contagion. Their responses are not to anything that is real. As much as is possible, these organizations are mistaken and delusional. TiMs are not oppressed by women, or anyone else. They are not uniquely vulnerable, endangerd, marginalized or targeted; in the West they are amongst the safest of demographics. Through institutional capture (see above), TiMs wield remarkably sudden, and surprisingly disproportionate power and influence. They are far from helpless. Most importantly, TiMs are not women. All of the claims are lies, yet they are used to justify this unprecedented concern and intervention and are repeated, reinforced, and enforced within the institutions themselves, and in turn, thrust upon all who deal with them. It’s affirmation only. Questions or doubts are brushed aside, or worse, held up as narrow-minded bigotry that is rightfully rejected by all who are Right and Good. Like themselves. It’s high school cliquishness writ large, but with much higher stakes, and backed by the power of the state. To paraphrase Pete Seeger, (and our host), Where have all the adults gone?
The YWCA has the undying support of our Prime Minister who loudly proclaimed on National Women’s day that “trans women are women” to an adoring crowd.
