Yeh and snakes are snakes who are either born snakes or who’ve transitioned to be snakes. Snakes who’ve transitioned to be snakes are totally valid. Never mind if they have four limbs sticking out of their bodies, and thick fur, and the ability to bark or meow or baa, they are snakes nevertheless.
I encountered recently a mouse which sincerely thought it was a female elephant, apparently based on its nose, which was about one millimetre longer than the nose of an ordinary mouse, and the fact that it lived in the elephant enclosure at the Western Plains Zoo, at Dubbo, NSW.
That belief had clearly got it into some difficult situations, like letting a mature male elephant try to mate with it; or something.
