I suppose tomorrow she’ll visit more captive children, wearing a jacket that says “Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.”

I was wrong about Donald Trump. He is a theologian. He is very good at the art of “making it up as you go along”, which is the core of theology.

Horse! Those kids would be rich if they had a horse!

    But seriously, fuck these people.

I lived in Texas long enough to realize that anyone who wears a jacket at this time of the year in Texas wears the jacket for something other than “just a jacket”. Jackets and Texas and the first day of summer are totally incompatible concepts. She wanted to wear the jacket for what it was, because it wasn’t needed for warmth (unless she is the devil and was worried Texas would be a bit cooler than her usual temperature in hell. Having done field studies in Texas summers, I don’t think there is much to worry about on that…Texas is truly hot enough to be hell).

What’s up with those shoes? Why no stilettos?

Chigau, she only wears stilettos when she wants to look down on her husband.

She didn’t actually wear the jacket it Texas. She got on the plane in Maryland wearing it, got off in Texas without it, then had it back on when getting off the plane in Maryland.

So maybe wanted to send some dumb message to press, then put that aside in Texas, then reiterate it back home?

Or, more charitably, she’s just not very smart and it was “just a jacket” to her that she wore onto the plane in MD when it was cooler, didn’t need it in the Texas heat so left it on the plane, then back it MD wore it even though it was now warmer because she didn’t want to carry it (or have someone carry it).

So malicious or really stupid? You be the judge!

I almost don’t factor in when her husband says since he lies about everything.

@iknklast A couple years ago I went to a poetry reading in the very pretentious upmarket town where I live. It was really hot; I was in light trousers, sandals and a sleeveless shirt. Most of the people there, in a stuffy hot room, were wearing light dresses or similar. But a surprising number of men were wearing outer layers–either leather jackets or tweed blazers–it was remarkable to me how much physical discomfort they were apparently willing to suffer to ensure that they projected the identity/image these jackets represented to them.

guest, I am constantly astounded by the number of people here in my midwestern city who wear shorts and three layers of sweatshirts in the winter…at below freezing temperatures. Like their arms might get cold, but not their legs? I don’t know…clothing choices are strange. I try to fit my clothing to the weather, and not the fashion, but then, I’ve always preferred comfort to conformity.
