Yesterday, Mitch McConnell yet again blocked a proposed bill to protect the Mueller investigation.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked two senators from bringing up legislation to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation from any efforts by the Trump administration to thwart it.
Republican Senator Jeff Flake and Democrat Chris Coons had said they would push the measure after President Donald Trump fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions and tossed out more than a century of precedent to name Sessions chief of staff Matt Whitaker as acting attorney general. Before joining Sessions’s staff, Whitaker had sharply criticized the Mueller probe and described on television how a future acting attorney general could undermine it.
But McConnell continues to say he hasn’t seen Trump trying to obstruct the Mueller investigation.

One wonders if McConnell is just a sycophant, or if he has some ties with the Trump nastiness that he is trying to hide. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he is a spineless sycophant.
And Bob Mueller is a terrible president, and everyone says he has small hands!
It’s alarming how reliably and rapidly any recent news against Trump is regurgitated by Trump himself, in the form of an accusation against whoever has his ire. It reminds me of arguments I’ve had with extreme idiots, who use words they scarcely understand simply because I used them first to make a point against them. And I say it is alarming because it shows the simplicity of the mind in charge of USA.
Wow, that’s enough projection to power a large multiplex cinema.

He should be careful what he aspires to. Unless and until Trump is pressed to death, hanged or executed by the state in some other, more imaginative way, his current travails come nowhere close to actual witch hunts that have already taken place in American history.
YNNB – and, they need to take any evidence, for or against, as confirming the accusation so there is no way Trump could possibly escape. There can be no long term parsing of evidence in a legitimate attempt to get to the truth.
No, they would need to just throw him in the water to see if he sinks (innocent but dead) or floats (guilty and needs to be made dead), or prick him with pins to see if there is any part of his body that is not sensitive (and stick the pins long enough, you might make a portion of the body insensitive), or any growths of any kind (I suspect his hair piece qualifies).
I’d like to say that I hate to say it but I think we’re due a Reign of a Reign of Terror. The reds respect nothing, especially the rule of law… So why operate as if the law still matters?
@BKISA #9 – because that’s what distinguishes the good guys from the bad guys. That’s how you know who is right. If everyone stops respecting the rule of law, the only reason to follow one group over another is blind tribalism – and that’s one of the biggest parts of the problem.
