Argument from umbrella

Nah.

No, lesbian is not an “umbrella term.” It has a crisp precise meaning. It’s not men’s to repurpose. Leave the umbrella at home, wear a hoody, and go away.

It’s difficult to take seriously someone named ‘DJ Miss Gripper’ explaining language to a Scottish MP and barrister.

Especially when the MP and barrister in question is Joanna Cherry.

Hey, I didn’t see heterolesbian on their list…oh, wait. I suppose that’s straightbians? What a ridiculous term. What a ridiculous umbrella.

I’ve got an idea. From now on, all words mean everything, so if you say apple and someone hands you a kiwi, they’re perfectly correct, because apple can mean kiwi…or food processor, or book, or Ophelia, or whatever else there is a word for, so we won’t be exclusive.

Is the circle on this umbrella “progress” for “sex work”? Who pays money for sex, men? And who takes money for sex, men? Not any lesbians I know.
