Hmm. On the one hand Leopoldo Lopez is a political prisoner (politics unelucidated), on the other hand catch (and punish) the leakers. Unless they’re wikkyleeks and what they’re leaking is gossip about Hillary Clinton.

The party Leonardo founded is tough to map, politically, on an American scale. It’s pro-oil (and privatization of the oil business, rather than the state-run oil industry Venezuela has currently), but also pro-gay rights, and has at least some street cred when it comes to issues of human rights generally.
I suspect that the particular courtiers who whispered his name in Donnie’s ear were oil interests, looking for a big payout if Leonardo ever comes to power. I wonder if his Evangelical supporters have been tipped off about the pro-LGBT angle. Could make for an interesting contretemps….

What’s with the thumb? Nothing, it’s in plain view. It’s the location of the other hand that should have Ms. Tintori worried.

And guess what, Steve Bannon features prominently in it. The plot seems to have gone way beyond mere curdling at this point.

Interesting article. I’ve seen somewhat similar reporting on systematic fake news and how effective it is. It’s all pretty chilling.
Chilling indeed, but what really got me is the careful tailoring to the reader’s psychological profile. And measuring the response, and adapting the message accordingly.
Apparently leaks are OK if they are done through the proper channels, ie., Wikileaks.
