I used to like Marks & Spencer.

Never heard of Marks and Spencer. Not surprised by the add though.
Oh come on, M&. We all know what you’re there for: massive, sensible, comfy knickers. In packs of 5, and for some reason in a random assortment of colours and patterns that never match any of the two-packs of equally sensible and comfy bras.
Admittedly, that does not make for a great window display.
I’ve always bought my knickers from M&S because they are, indeed, big and comfy. I cannot abide itchy underwear, still less knickers which are either designed as, or turn into, bum floss.
Those window displays, though. Sexist and racist. What better way to convey the Message of the old white men in power than to make it obvious pictorially that White Men are People, Women of Colour are Sex Toys.
Haha I was just about to say the same thing. The only time I ever go into M&S is to buy new underpants (sorry, I’m an American, I can’t quite bring myself to write or say ‘knickers’).
What made them rhink they would get away with this? Not exactly woke is it.
