I wouldn’t mind International Pronouns Day so much if it was actually, you know, INTERNATIONAL. I love nerding out over words, and it would be interesting to learn about how pronouns (third-person personal and otherwise) work in different languages. Instead it’s just the same boring anglophone hegemony and how to grovel to people who are Specialer Than You.
We could have International Verbs Day, International Adjectives Day, International Conjunctions Day – it would be interesting.
