Inspire inclusion by including men on a day for women

University of Victoria celebrates Women’s Day by celebrating men, because of course it does.

Psst – Jamey – trans is colonialism. You’re the colonizer, chum.

One thing trans people do not lack is visibility.

The operative word there is ‘trans’; as in transferring other peoples’ (ie womens’) stuff, names, washroom entry entitlements, etc, etc, etc, to themselves. This is done on the simple entitlement basis of what’s yours is mine, and what’s mines’s me own.

Of what service is a ‘trans lens’ when looking at a something like ‘colonial history’? If it is of service at all, it’s focus is going is be so small as to elucidate next to nothing.

As far as I can tell a “trans lens” is used exclusively to magnify its lens-haver.

UVic is absolutely dire. Direct experience of the campus culture has produced some of the strongest voices against the absolute lunacy.
