I look forward to hearing about the non- binary skeletons and pot shards.

This would be hilarious if it wasn’t so stupid.

    Well that’s embarrassing.

Archaeology? Is he going to dig up some ancient pronouns or what? Wigs? Fake tits?

If you Google “what is trans archaeology?” you get a lot of results. Stupid results, but results.

You’ve got to be kidding. Are we sure this wasn’t an April Fool joke? There’s no such thing as “transgender archaeology.” Anything “transgender” exists only in the imagination. Once a person has died, the mind is gone. There’s nothing to “archaeologize.”

Everything must be transed. Every single thing.

Meanwhile, I had to pay my way through my Ph.D. because I was doing unimportant stuff like wetland restoration and biodiversity surveys. All I was trying to do was help the planet; maybe if I’d created trans-wetlands, I would have had my way fully paid!

I keep waiting for that giant asteroid.

@6, a friend sent me a meme saying “I told my kids I identify as invisible. It makes me trans-parent.” Silly, but makes a point.

Isn’t “biblical archaeology” a similar “field of study”? Reading whatever you like into the tea leaves of the past and all that…

MIkeb: during the Lysenko Era, Soviet biology texts adopted the chimera defence of interleaving dense paragraphs of orthodox science between briefer snippets of Lysenkoite rhetoric. Look on the bright side – someone may be researching trans-asteroid deflection.

    Oh good. First thing tomorrow.

    It’s never too late . . .
