Back in November “Grace” Lavery was pining for a debate.
I don’t like doing this, and I won’t mention it again unless I get a bite, but I’ve been trying to invite a GC activist to do an event with me, where they could decide on format. Nobody wants to. I’m only mentioning it to expose the shallowness of the “we want to debate” posture. pic.twitter.com/XMe7qjYZZr

Helen Joyce took him up on it.
That’s correct, I have Twitter set to show me notifications and mentions only from mutuals. I’m happy to do an event with @graceelavery – as I already said. @andrewdoyle_com has already offered to moderate this. I’ll drop him a note now saying grace seems now to be on board.

Thanks Helen—you’re on. We’ll need a different moderator; Andrew Doyle shouldn’t have said that, because as he very well knows, we’ve known each other for twenty years, and he’s certainly not neutral. But let’s organize this away from the cameras.

Let’s do this thing!
Or…
The problem with the policy of deplatforming terfs is that they currently have the platforms. But that’s shocking proof of the feebleness of UK institutions to transphobic hate, and isn’t an argument against deplatforming. I don’t consider Helen Joyce, a fascist, “worth” engaging

Everybody is laughing at him.
Just laughing to myself at the memory of a relative who is now a teenager, when he was a Terrible Two, demanding to be taken for a walk NOW. And when I said: ok, sure, let’s put your coat on, he flung himself to the ground and started kicking and screaming “I DON’T WANT MY COAT”
